Today, Brand Bookshop is one of the largest used bookstores in Southern California with more than 100,000 volumes in over 1,500 sections. A great way to spend a Saturday is to get to the Brand bookstore when they open at 10am and spend a couple of hours going through your favorite section of the bookstore. They are really well organized, well lite and have a super knowledgeable and helpful staff. Then after spending a couple of hours looking and buying books head across the street and have some of the best sushi in town at Sushi on Brand at 308 N Brand Blvd., Glendale, CA 91203. On my last trip to Brand bookstore I bought the 54 volume “The Great Conversation” for $240.00 It was a steal. My Son, Darrell Griffin, Jr. had bought the same set at Half Price books in seattle.
